Reminiscing

To all my beloved livejournal readers who weren't as excited as I was that ANOTHER Mighty Ducks Movie was planned for 2005, I have some terrible news.

Yes, it is more terrible than the news of you-know-who-dies-and-who-kills-him that awaits me in the still unread although incredibliy spoiler spoiled Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

The news: There will be no D4: The Mighty Ducks.

I blame Josh Jackson. He thinks he's too good to play with The Mighty Ducks anymore. Ha! I say. You dare spit on The Mighty Ducks?! That's like spitting on DIsney! That's like spitting on yourself because you, Josh Jackson, are the most (well, besides Emilio Estevez, who is my hero) Mighty Duckish Disneyan in the world. So there!

You know what this means my friends. No more Gunnar Stahl. No more Wolf Stansson, no more dreamy fake-Scandinavian adolescents with nasty attitudes and faux-accents. "Seeee you lay-tah(feel free to add copious amount of phlegm here), Beeg. Boy! Haha".

But of course that all ended with the second movie. The only remenant of Icelanders-past in the third one was Scooter, played by Scott Whyte, who had played the tall and imposing although slightly bemused Gunnar Stahl.

Ah, Gunnar Stahl, you whose profile looks oddly wolfish. I think they mixed up the names. I think Coach Wolf should have been called Gunnar Stahl, or if you prefer the traditionally Norse, Olaf Olafsson or Something Someonesson. But Gunnar, the dear canine predator who got his balls punched out by the beloved Jules -the Cat- Gaffney, should have been called Wolf.

That's all I have to say. A Toast to all the Mighty Duck fans in the world.

Sure people liked it. People like me liked it. Little boys who aren't old enough to appreciate the political tension in "Miracle" still like it.

Let's all chant: We love American Bigheadedness!!!

i really can't see myself getting too worked up over mighty ducks... but since it matters so much to YOU, dear diego, i'll work up some indignance.

thanks for clarifying. I just almost forgot to sign in too. Wanna read my previous post for fun? I'm really very conceited and get the sniffles when no one's read my beautiful masterpieces.
